Shiqi Yu currently is an associate  professor at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests include computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition and artificial intelligence.

Shiqi Yu received his B.E. degree in computer science and engineering from the Chu Kochen Honors College, Zhejiang University in 2002, and Ph.D. degree in pattern recognition and intelligent systems from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007.
